2. A Reflection on The PROCESS OF THE ARCHITECTURE GOES TO SCHOOL PROJECT... In this reflection you will explore what you have learned from the project… You will think about and explore the following questions, but you don't have to answer all of them... It's just a starting point to help you explain your ideas...
How did you decide what needed to be included? How did the Walking Tour influence your ideas for the space? How did learning about community needs and creating a place of belonging, impact your planning? How did you try to create a space where people WANT TO BE? What did you see as needs that were missing in the area? How were you going to make this space a place where people will LIVE, WORK, PLAY???
WORKING COLLABORATIVELY.... PLANNING A SPACE AS A HUGE "JUNIOR ARCHITECTURE TEAM"
What is it like to collaborate or plan as a group? How did you decide what was most important for the community? What was the process the Colour Focus groups? (Remember yellow, blue, green discussion focus groups that brainstormed ideas, wrote these on post - it notes, then prioritized the ideas... then as a class we discussed what ideas were our "Babies" which ones were our "Dogs"? What was it like working in the project groups? How did we decide the focus for each project group? What were different group roles? How did these roles have to work together to complete the project? What were the challenges? What were the advantages of working in a group? What did you learn about effective collaboration?
